With her great-grandmother’s audio-recorded remembrances, a cousin, a young Lithuanian, and a historian as her companions and guides, she encounters people, places, and past and present traumas with grit and perseverance, ultimately returning home with a newfound understanding of her family’s history and a greater feeling of belonging in the world.
